PCARS Thursday night 2 meter net

That's tonight folks.  On the K8IV REPEATER, 146.895 Mhz, pl 110.9 Hz.  8:00 pm local.  You can also check in via the K8SRR echolink node.

Check in with us 10X in a row and you are eligible for a nice PCARS net certificate.  Just email me (wb8lcd@portcars.org) with the dates of your check-ins.  If you're in the log, you get the certificate!

If you miss tonight's net, you're back to "none in a row".  Don't let that happen.

Survey

PCARS Members:
At our DX/Contest SIG yesterday evening, one of the discussion topics was how can we make the club site more "useable" than just for contests.
Terry, KB8AMZ, came up with what we felt was a good idea.  Before we can understand how to make the club site more useable, we need to understand the interests of the club members. The suggestion was to put together a brief survey, asking the club members what their interests are in order to determine how the club site can best serve the membership.
So with that in mind, I will be getting together with a couple of members for the purpose of getting a survey put together and then getting it out to the members to get feedback on your interests.
With that info in hand, it will make it somewhat easier to determine how we can serve you in regards to the use of the club station.  We now have a station with multiple op positions ready to be used.  This is a resource that a majority of clubs do not have available for their members.   So how do we put it to the best usage for all members that want to use the club.
Keep your eyes peeled for the survey and PLEASE respond when you see it.
For now,

DX/Contest SIG

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24, we will be holding our DX/Contest Special Interest Group meeting at the club site. Starting time is 7PM. We will be looking at some upcoming contests in which K8BF will be active.  So if you were thinking of participating in a contest and would like to get your feet wet, please attend to see what we have planned.  Hope to see many members there.
For now…..
