July PCARS Board Meeting

Due to the Independence Day holiday taking place on Monday July 4th, the July PCARS Board meeting will change to Tuesday July 5th at 7:30 PM for this month at the PCARS club site in Ravenna. All PCARS members are invited to attend.

13 Colonies Special Event

Join us for the 8th annual 13 Colonies Special Event.
Starting July 1st, Fri. at 13:00 UTC (9 AM Eastern) and ending midnight July
6th Wed. (0400 UTC July 7th).


We have more Operators, and our two "Bonus"
stations, WM3PEN (Phil.PA.) and GB13COL (Durham, England) will be with us


A contact with WM3PEN will net you a Liberty Bell endorsement
on your certificate, and for GB13COL, an English Standard (Flag).

Endorsements will be added to your certificate for the NRA, American
Legion, US Military Vets/active duty, VFW (Veterans of foreign wars), ALL CW
and ALL QRP!


Come and join the fun! In 2015 we did over 126,000 total
contacts, and expect do more this year! On our web site there is an example of
the very cool 2016 certificate! Every one different each year! Check it out.
All of our operators are stoked and ready to go! Please join us to honor the 13
original Colonies, our Independence and our Veterans and Military.

IOTA Activations

Here is some info on a IOTA tour in July:

IOTA EU-065 Tour

F4ELI, F4ELK e F5UOW will be active between July 1 and 3 on a Iota tour operating from five islands of the EU-065 group.

Here is the schedule:

Friday July 1, Beniguet island, afternoon.

Saturday July 2, Bannalec island, morning; Trielen island, afternoon.

Sunday July 3, Ledenez de Molene, morning; Lityri island, afternoon.

Bands: 20/40M CW, SSB

QSL, via F4ELK direct or bureau

The operators hope to hear you on the bands!
