Net Night at the Club Site

This Thursday, September 28, is Net Night at the Club Site.  If you are a member of the Comms Unit or ARES you can check in from the club station at 7:00PM to the Comms Unit net.  That will be followed by the PCARS net at 8:00PM for all amateur Radio Operators!
If you're unable to attend, the nets take place on the K8IV repeater, 146.895 Mhz with a PL of 118.8hz.  You can also check in via the K8SRR Echolink node.  Amy – KD8SKL – will be your PCARS net control operator.  Get your call on the sign in sheet!
After the nets please join us for a "refresher course" on the movie SPACEBALLS!  Popcorn, snacks (and whatever else you would like to bring along) complete with assorted beverages will be available for the movie.
Join us for an evening of ham radio fellowship at the PCARS Club Site!
(Don't forget to come back on Saturday morning for a Club Site Scrub Down)
Hope to see you there!

Club Clean-Up Day

We have scheduled a clean-up day this Saturday starting at 9 AM. We need all the help we can get to clean up both the inside and outside of the club. If you have a weed eater please bring it along. We have brooms and dust pans. I also recommend gloves and work clothes. Donuts will also be provided to fuel the effort.

We really could use the help. We want a clean club site for our open house.

Thanks in advance,

Jim, AC8NT

I'd like to invite you all to join us for our digital net tomorrow, Wednesday 9/27. This week we'll be on 80 meters, around 3.584. The net will start at 7:30, but I will be on the air starting at 7:00 if you want to come early, troubleshoot your setup, etc. I'll also be monitoring the K8IV repeater (reminder, use the 118.8 input frequency!) if you have any problems.
We'll start the net with Olivia 8/500. Hope to see you on the air!

Field Day/Contest Meeting

PCARS Members:
This Tuesday (that's tomorrow) at 7PM we would be normally hosting our DX/Contest SIG.  However, since there are quite a few things going on, Tony WA8AR and I decided to combine topics and have a California QSO Party / 2018 Field Day meeting.
So those who are involved in Field Day for 2018 please try to attend the meeting. And those who will be participating in the California QSO Party please attend the meeting.
I'm sure it will be interesting all the way around.
Remember – tomorrow evening at 7PM at the club site.
