Antenna Day May 11 – Volunteers Needed
This year we will be conducting a full test of all transmitting/receiving equipment that will be utilized for our Field Day operations; AKA Antenna Day.  The test will be conducted at our Field Day site and will involve setting all stations including the proposed antenna systems.  Transmitting tests will be conducted to determine if there is unacceptable interference between any stations.  Interference testing will be done on all bands we anticipate using on Field Day.  Power will be supplied by backup generators for each station.  The test will be conducted between the hours of  9 am and 3 pm on Saturday May 11, 2019.  Donuts and coffee will be supplied for breakfast; pizza and water will be supplied to all for lunch.  All stations will be taken down and stowed for transport at the end of testing.
A minimum crew of twelve (12) Volunteers WILL BE NEEDED, in addition to the station captains who will bring all the station equipment plus tools.   Station captains have designed and will direct setup of each station.  New hams are welcome to volunteer, there will be plenty of help to show you what to do.  So that I have an exact count of how many volunteers we will have, please email me (give me your name and call sign) if you will be there to help:  Tony, tromito99@gmail.com .  I will send out a QST when we have filled our volunteer antenna/station assembly team.  It should be a good experience for all.
Location: If you have not been there before, our Field Day site is the Freedom Township Park, located just southwest of the intersection of State Route 700 and Streeter Rd. From Ravenna take State Route 88 north to State Route 700 north. The park is on the left, just under one mile after you cross over the Turnpike, traveling up SR 700. You will see a storage building, the open shelter and a baseball field on the left. The park is not well marked, but still pretty easy to find.
