Greetings to All Wanabe Eskimos:
As you have been hearing and hopefully reading the latest edition of the Radiogram, we are hosting an event this Saturday, Feb. 8. It’s our annual
QRP event, “Freeze Your Acorns Off”, that is being held at Fred Fuller Park in the Roy Smith Shelter House.
We will start to gather at 9AM with the event scheduled to kick off at 10AM. So those of you who will be setting ups stations, have at least 1 hour to do so unless you come out earlier than 9AM.
Each of the Ops will receive a packet of info that you will get from me when you check in. The packets will contain a copy of the rules (READ THEM), a Guest sign-in sheet, 5 logging sheets and the Scoring Summary sheet that must be turned in to me before you leave the event.
Of course there will also be the Best Recipe Cook-Off also taking place. So bring your best baked, fried, or simmered recipe and let the rest of us enjoy your culinary efforts. As in the past, there will be three blind, er, three judges doing a blind taste test to choose the winner and runners up. Coffee and donuts will be provided.
Come on out and celebrate this fun event with your fellow PCARS members and remember, Hawaiian shirts will be the dress code for the day.
