PCARS will participate in the Winter Field Day 2026 at our World Headquarters in Ravenna, OH. This is our first rodeo for WFD!

WFD has different designations for “class” than summer ARRL Field Day. We will be “4I” (indoor, NOT at home).
Of course, we want to have a good showing, but – as our first go-around – we want to have big fun FIRST. And, it’s a great way to be OUT in the middle of the winter doldrums!
WFD is a 30 hour event, 1600z (11:00AM) Saturday 24th through 2159z (4:59PM) Sunday 25th. HOWEVER, we will be operating from 11:00AM through 9:00PM Saturday. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO OPERATE AFTER 9:00PM AND/OR ON SUNDAY, SOMEONE WILL BE THERE TO OPEN THE CLUBSITE!
All bands (except WARC) are open. BRING YOUR HT TO THE CLUB SO WE CAN GET CONTACTS ON 2M AND 440! All modes are in play EXCEPT NO FT8 & FT4!
The club site will be open before 10:00AM to prepare WFD operations.
Stop by to say “Hi”, or be there for the whole day! I am planning to make something in my Crockpot – some hearty stew or soup – as well as some snack items. If you want to bring something, please let me know for planning purposes – w8net@me.com
