PCARS 2025 Field Day Dinner will be served Saturday June 28th starting between 5:45 and 6:00 pm. Dinner will be delivered to on duty station operators/loggers first. Dinner for PCARS members and guests will start immediately after.

Dinner is free to all pre-registered PCARS Members. Guests will be charged $5.00 each. I am requesting that everyone who wants to share FD Dinner with us please register by June 23rd so that we can have enough food available for everyone.

Dinner Menu: Rigatoni; Fried Chicken; Parsley Potatoes; Green Beans; Rolls & Butter. Bottled water will be available (no charge); soft drinks may be available (no extra charge).

Please note that to have dinner with us you must be on the dinner registration list. Those on this list will be served first. PCARS members (and paid guests) not registered for dinner may be served after registered members have eaten (if extra food is still available).

It is with sadness that I announce the passing of my brother, Ed Ash – AK8Z. He became a Silent Key today (6/8/2025) Ed was a former member of CFARC.

Condolences by text or email.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be made.

There will be no speaker. Our discussions will be focused on Field Day. If you have any questions about this great event please have them ready.

The Flex Station will be conducting training for FT4 FT8 operations during Field Day. Although aimed primarily at Flex, anyone operating FT4 and FT8 at Field Day is welcome.

Training will consist of Contesters Ken WA8LRW and Bob N8QE giving a presentation with tips on how to effectively contest in FT4 and FT8. Participants will then move to on-the-air operations by operating in the ARRL International Digital Contest. We will have four stations set up where you can practice. Equipment and apps will be identical to what we will be doing during Field Day so this is a great way to improve your skills for Field Day!

⚠️ Be prepared to shift 40m frequency around 0000 UTC to accommodate the “Century Club” Net on 7.2675 MHz.

40m Ends: 3:00 PM EDT / 1900 UTC (to avoid net conflict)
