On two days next week, PCARS will represent the Ohio section as part of the Volunteers on the Air W1AW/8 operating event.
We will have four stations on the air during the following dates and times:
Thursday, August 31 from 6-10 PM
Saturday, September 2 from 10 AM – 10 PM
All PCARS members are invited to join us. Whether you’re a seasoned operator or a newcomer, you can participate. Please plan to join us, and mark your calendars now!

August is passing fast, and that means it is time for gathering inputs for the September issue of the PCARS newsletter – The RADIOGRAM!
Inputs for the September 2023 issue of The RADIOGRAM are due on Friday August 25th at 8pm. (as always – the last Friday of the month).
Help keep the newsletter interesting to all by sending in your article for the PCARS newsletter. And, don’t forget the in-focus, large format photos as well!!!

Saturday, August 26th, 2023 is this year’s Ohio QSO Party and the PCARS BBQSO Party and Open House! This is a great event where you can operate with our contest group and enjoy a meal with your ham radio friends.
The club will provide beverages, burgers, brats, buns, and condiments. Everyone is encouraged to bring snacks or a side dish to share.
Contest set up starts at 10 AM – Contest starts at Noon and ops will continue until midnight (12-hour contest). Food will be served around 2:00 pm.
