Hamvention Youth Forum
The Radio Club of America (RCA) hosts an annual Youth Forum for individuals aged 18 and below, typically featuring student presentations on wireless technology at Hamvention in Dayton, OH. The 2026 event will be finalized soon, offering, scholarships, and grants for young achievers pursuing careers in the wireless industry.

Youth DX Adventure
The Dave Kalter Memorial Youth DX Adventure (YDXA) is a program dedicated to introducing young amateur radio operators to the excitement of DXing and contesting.
Each year, a small group of licensed youth operators travels with experienced mentors to operate from a well-equipped DX station, giving them the opportunity to make contacts with stations around the world while learning advanced operating techniques. Named in memory of avid DXer Dave Kalter, KB8OCP, the program’s mission is to inspire the next generation of amateur radio operators by providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and the thrill of operating from a world-class station.
