Hi all,
PCARS will participate in the Winter Field Day 2026 at our World Headquarters in Ravenna, OH. This is our first rodeo for WFD!

WFD has different designations for “class” than summer ARRL Field Day. We will be “4i” (indoor, NOT at home). Ken has set up N3JFP for logging, and also set up fldigi+N3JFP for digital modes (TNX KEN!). If you want to schedule op time, let me know. HOWEVER, everyone is welcome to operate anytime you like.
Of course, we want to have a good showing, but – as our first go-around – we want to have big fun FIRST. And, it’s a great way to be OUT in the middle of the winter doldrums!
WFD is a 30 hour event, 1600z (11:00AM) Saturday 24th through 2159z (4:59PM) Sunday 25th. HOWEVER, we will be operating from 11:00AM through 9:00PM Saturday. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO OPERATE AFTER 9:00PM AND/OR ON SUNDAY, SOMEONE WILL BE THERE TO OPEN THE CLUBSITE!
All bands (except WARC) are open. BRING YOUR HT TO THE CLUB SO WE CAN GET CONTACTS ON 2M AND 440! (I will have one to use if needed). All modes are in play EXCEPT NO FT8 & FT4!
The club site will be open before 10:00AM to prepare WFD operations.
