“Ticket sales are stronger than they have ever been,” said Hamvention spokesman, Michael Kalter on DX Engineering’s YouTube channel. He said the most exciting thing about ham radio is the people you meet. Kalter said that over 700 volunteers make it magical for attendees.

General Chair Jim Storms said, “Please join us this year at the flag poles by the dining area on Friday morning at 10am for an opening program. We will be joined with local officials and dignitaries as we open the event.”

Are you interested in ham radio, innovative technologies, a flea market with hundreds of eager sellers, commercial booths filling several large buildings? How about multiple food trucks, activities for youth, and the possibility of winning valuable door prizes? There will be a balloon, equipped with a small amateur radio transmitter, launched to possibly travel around the earth. Would you love to watch this? Hamvention is for you.

There are four meeting halls with forums on a variety of topics Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—all free for attendees.

Have you studied for your Technician license and wish to take the exam? Do you have a Technician license and want to upgrade to a General or Extra license? Free license exams will be given across the street from Hamvention at Memorial United Presbyterian Church with shuttles transporting people from the fairgrounds.

Tickets may be purchased at the box office, which is located just outside the main entrance gate.

Hamvention will be held May 17, 18 and 19, 2024, at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center, Xenia, Ohio. Parking is available at the fairgrounds (grass field), at the Xenia High School (all three days), and the Hobson Freedom Park (Friday and Saturday). Free shuttle buses will transport from the school and Hobson lots (and back) on a regular basis. The gate opens at 9am.
