Inputs for January 2024 Newsletter

Greetings all!

This is your incoming newsletter editor speaking. Given that January is going to sneak up on us and I’m new at this, I would like to see if we couldn’t get as many inputs as possible for the January Radiogram in by the end of this week (15-Dec). That will give me a chance to collate things and get some seasoned eyes on it as well as avoid the collision with the upcoming holidays that happen to coincide with the normal “Due Date” of the newsletter.

Send those inputs to KC8JC@othertime.com in plain text format. And send in those pictures as well!

Thanks and I appreciate your patience!

73,

J.C. – KC8JC

PCARS Christmas Party – December 11, 2023

Our December meeting is our annual Christmas dinner, open to all PCARS members and their families. Unfortunately, the time frame for reservations has closed. To everyone who did not RSVP, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing you at many PCARS events in 2023!

For those who will be in attendance, there will be a short PCARS meeting after dinner, along with the usual PCARS Gift Exchange! Please bring a ten-dollar gift and mark it for a HAM or a NON-HAM. (Non-ham gifts should be gender-neutral.)

If you are bringing children, please bring a special gift for your own children, and mark the child’s name on the gift so we can make sure it gets to him or her.

Merry Christmas!

Send a Get Well Card or Get Well QSO Card

Hello PCARS,
I received this from our long time PCARS member from Little Rock, Arkansa and wanted to pass it on to you:

————————————-

I had left hip replacement surgery done on November 13th, and ended up staying in the hospital for two nights because of the pain. Then, I stayed with friends for three nights, and then back home. However, I cannot plug in the UPS and computer units until I’m released from the doctor, and that may not come till next year. In short, I will be off the air until further notice.

Daryl, WX4QZ
————————————-

So – Let’s all send Daryl a get well card or get well QSO card to help cheer him up a bit and let him know we are thinking good thoughts for him.

His address is:

Daryl Stout
PO BOX 55655
Little Rock, AR 72215
